In July, amidst a busy schedule of juggling bigger projects, I was very happy to be asked back to La Septième Obsession to create another full page illustration; this time exploring the verticality within Peter Jackson’s trilogy.

This was quite a straightforward illustration; I’d been sent the article beforehand (written wonderfully by Yann Suty) that makes mention of the various height differentials within the films.

For the illustration, I chose to stick to some of the more visual options (as opposed to the metaphorical) and created a composition to highlight height.
