This is an A3 personal illustration from late 2020. The idea behind the drawing was, solely, that I wanted to draw a big space station. I’m a simple boy; rockets go vroom. The drawing started off as a small A5 pencil sketch, before being refined in another A5 pencil sketch, before then being hand drawn at A3.

Looking back on the piece now, a few years later, the colouring stands out from where my work currently sits. It’s not bad, it’s just different. Perhaps if I feel obliged in the future I may go back and recolour it with my current style, or perhaps I’ll just leave it as it is. Either way I was incredibly happy with how it came out at the time (I still love it), and it was a big step forward in finding the voice that I wanted to keep drawing with.
